Postage is a native Mac email client with a built-in MCP server. Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop, Cursor and others work with your mail using the accounts you are already signed in to. You approve every send.

One command per client
Postage runs the server on your Mac, on 127.0.0.1 only. Add it to a client and ask for what you want: summarize what came in overnight, archive the newsletters, draft replies to the three that matter.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user postage http://127.0.0.1:47913/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_POSTAGE_TOKEN"[mcp_servers.postage]
url = "http://127.0.0.1:47913/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "POSTAGE_MCP_TOKEN"Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed and Gemini CLI too. Setup for every client and what each can access.
Step 1
Add your accounts
Sign in once. Postage keeps credentials in your Keychain.
Step 2
Pick a client
Open Integrations, choose Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another client, and copy the command.
Step 3
Set what it can do
Read only, Read + organize, or Full. You can revoke a client at any time.
You stay in charge
- Agents never send silently. A send request opens a sheet in Postage with Send, Edit and Cancel. The agent waits for you.
- Three access levels. Read only, Read + organize, or Full, set per client and enforced by the server.
- Localhost only. Each client gets its own token in your Keychain that you can revoke. No LAN mode, no cloud relay.
- Email is untrusted. Message bodies reach agents marked as untrusted content, so a hostile email cannot quietly steer them.
Also a very good email app
Native and fast
SwiftUI on macOS, not a web view in a wrapper. Opens instantly and stays light on memory and battery.
Keyboard first
Apple Mail style shortcuts and menus. Triage a full inbox without touching the mouse.
One unified inbox
Every account in one list, or one account at a time. Any IMAP and SMTP provider.
Rules that think
Write a rule in plain English. Apple Intelligence runs it on your Mac, or bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI key.
Private by design
Mail goes between your Mac and your provider. No Postage server sits in the middle, and there is no telemetry.
Paid once
$39, no subscription, no ads, no free tier that sells your attention.
